Wildlife pot pond
I wanted to create a pond, but couldn’t create a large one in the ground, so I opted for a pot pond! I have bought some Junicus Inflexus (grass), offering shelter for damsel flies to dry their wings on. I love the delicate flowers of Myosotis Palustris (water forget-me-nots) and Ranunculus Flammula (lesser spearwort). Also couldn’t resist Mentha Pulegium (water mint) because it smells so lovely! I got some pond weed from my Aunts pond to oxygenate the water and I have created a pebble cascade inside the pot and bog wood ramp to allow invertebrates to climb out. I already have lots of newts in my pond, so I’m excited to see what else it attracts!
