Instead of automatically jumping in the car to go to the local shop, take a walk instead and get a few minutes exercise while picking up your shopping. Plan ahead and try cycling to work one day or take the bus and enjoy your commute catching up on the latest bestseller instead of driving.
Cars emit a cocktail of harmful gases, a huge proportion of which is carbon dioxide. The less we use them, the cleaner our environment. Walking or cycling are both great for physical and mental health plus you’ll save money on fuel. Public transport is also a cleaner way to travel.
